Forever 21 Oxford Wedges and Chocolate

Sorry for the lack of posts the past few days. I've been busy with errands, so I haven't even gotten a chance to catch up on all of the other blogs I read!

As usual, it was extremely hot a few days ago, so I paired a simple H&M tank dress and a ruffle skirt together. And yes, I'm wearing my favorite beat up leopard flats.

A local department store has an amazing mirror in the lobby of the restrooms. It's probably ten feet tall. I stood around and as inconspicuously as possible, took a few photos.

You may notice that my Forever 21 oxford wedges arrived.

Verdict? I'm usually a size 7.5 - 8, and while the shoes are a little loose on me, since I ordered an 8, I'm really happy with them. I like them a little loose because I can wear socks or even socks and tights together. They're fairly comfortable, but I'll probably put some cushions inside. After a few hours of walking around, the balls of my feet ached. But hey, that's what happens when I combine high shoes and lots of wandering around.

My mom bought me a box of chocolate when she and I went out shopping. I apologize for the low quality photo. I was going to snag my DSLR to take a photo, but come on-- it's chocolate! I was too hungry to take proper photos.

Next time I get chocolate, I promise I'll take more detailed photos.

Also, I know I still have to get back to a few of you, so please be patient. I'll be able to catch up tomorrow!

H&M Skull Tunic

Lately it's been too hot to wear anything more than a tank or slip dress.

I'm totally in love with this slouchy hobo from H&M. Adjustable crossbody shoulder strap and faux leather finish? It reminds me so much of Alexander Wang's gunny sack without the extraneous pouches, zippers, and price.

Forever 21 Wedges

Sometimes a girl just can't help herself...

Forever 21's inexpensive alternative to the Acne and Jeffrey Campbell knockoff wedge. Not exactly the same, but for literally a fraction of the price (10%), I can't lose.

The shoes led to the dress, which led to the earrings, socks, and tights. But, in my defense, three of the items were under $5 each!

And of course, something for my man.

Lady Gaga Shirt

H&M is having its seasonal sale, and I made a killing Tuesday.

$10 dresses and $5 tanks? I'm so there.

While I was scouring the sale racks, I couldn't pass up this Lady Gaga slouchy top. It's one of my favorite silhouettes and colors. Plus, it's Gaga, come on.

Supersmile and Giveaway Winners

Sorry for my absence during the past week. You may have noticed that I no longer update daily. After a while, I felt as though I was only updating just to update instead of updating because I had something specific to say.

This system is working out a lot better for me-- and hopefully for you guys too!

I've been feeling a little down about my appearance lately, and I think this happens to everyone. My skin is freaking out, and it looks like I'm going through puberty all over again, even though I'm 23. When things like this happen, I always find it really therapeutic to indulge in some beauty and well-being products.

Supersmile is a whitening toothpaste. My mom bought this kit a few months back, and I had commented on how white her smile was. She told me she'd scoop up a kit for me, and two weeks later, I had my own magical Supersmile goodies.

I'm really into keeping my smile bright and healthy looking. A few years back, I had braces, and after all of the tooth pulling and retainer business, I'm going to keep up with my teeth! I still wear my retainers to bed every now and then just to make sure my teeth don't move around too much.

Crest Whitestrips were always too gooey and expensive for me. Supersmile makes me feel as though I just popped open a pack of peppermint gum.

You can buy the kit online at QVC. This particular kit comes with special toothbrushes that maneuver their way into all of the mouth's nooks and crannies.

Don't think I forgot! The winners of the giveaway are:

MOUSEVOX VINTAGE

and

Mafalda ♥ Princess Doll

Congratulations to the both of you! I'll be sending emails your way.

Hello Kitty

I had a very nostalgic day today.

My mom took my sister and me out for gelato and then asked us if we'd like to go to the toy store. I'm 23, but oh yes, I enthusiastically accepted her offer.

Afterwards, we stopped at a specialty cupcake store. I chose a confetti vanilla cupcake. I wish I could have taken pictures, but alas, the sweet treat was instantly devoured.

Oh, Hello Kitty, you should really sponsor me.

Also, in order to do my part for the environment, I snagged a Hello Kitty water bottle.

It's like an adorable accidental accessory. A few reviews online claim this water bottle breaks really easily, so I'll have to be careful.

Jeffrey Campbell Lita

Whoa.

Jeffrey Campbell has done it again.

These are Charlese Anastase knockoffs that will be available July at Solestruck.

I wish I had somewhere to wear these... or I wish I had the grace and balance to actually wear these.

Closet Trends

My closet is super small, so when I first moved in, I immediately purchased a clothing rack from Target. It's perfect. I can stand back and visualize what sort of outfit I want to create with all of the pieces visible to me at once.

Anyone noticing trends here?

Leopard, pink, and army green. Nothing wrong with that!

Feel free to keep posting questions you'd like answered!

ModCloth Beauty on the Beach

When it comes to summer, I'm like a vampire. I avoid the sun as much as possible and make an effort to not get a tan.

I tan very quickly and never burn. Normally, this would be ideal for any gal who wants to get her bronze on, but there are few things I hate more in the world than tan lines!

They're so difficult to avoid and even more of a battle to get rid of.

When I find myself at the beach, I try to stay as covered as possible. Monokinis, while adorable, unfortunately result in really strange tan lines, especially if the suit has cutouts.

I've been keeping an eye on this beauty from ModCloth for some time now.

It's the 'Beauty on the Beach' suit.

Just enough cover and adorable details. I might risk a few tan lines to romp around in this ruffled suit.

Top $49
Bottom $69

Also, I think it'd be fun to answer a few reader questions just so everyone can get to know me more. Feel free to ask any style, beauty, or general questions. Formspring really isn't my thing, so if you have any questions, I'd love to hear from you.
