Cat Eye Sunnies and a Little Black Dress

Double post!

To make up for my last of posts the past few weeks, here's an entry with some random photos I haven't uploaded yet.

And some shots from my amazing Zumi camera. It literally fits in the palm of my hand. I could probably close my hand around it and completely cover it. I've still got to play around with the video feature!

Mood Board: Black, White and a Little Bit of Color Now and Then

Life has been a little tough as of late. I find myself gravitating towards deconstructed looks like I did when I was a teenager. Fishnets, ripped tees and neutral colors with messy hair and dark makeup. I think this is what makes me comfortable.

As always, sorry for the lack of updates. I've been enduring a lot of personal issues, and work has basically taken over my life.

I've tried to make my blog a priority, but that doesn't always happen. Even though I don't always comment or consistently update, I am still reading and lurking other blogs.

In the past week, some of you may have noticed that everyroadarunway.blogspot.com has transformed into its very own dot com. I felt it was about time to take my blog up to the next level-- or more realistically, I was tired of spewing out the dot blogspot dot com when I introduced my blog to the other people.

I hope the page has been consistently loading for everyone. I'm not very tech savvy, but I managed to figure most of the complexities so far. *cue jinx*

Speaking of other recent changes, I also hope the Flickr photos prove to be a sound decision. They seem clearer and brighter in quality.

I nabbed this dress on a recent trip to Chicago. It was my first time visiting Akira Chicago, and the store absolutely induced some freakouts. Lots of fun party dresses and fur. Oh, the faux fur! We all know I'm a sucker for anything leopard, tight and black and anything faux fur. Mmm.

This party dress is such a fun find. It's got a bit of volume on the bottom, but I didn't want to feel too 1950's retro. The zipper detailing assisted in dissuading that comparison, and the destroyed tee from Urban Outfitters gave the middle finger to any girly girl notions.

P.S. I've gotten a bunch of questions about my makeup-- and specifically my eyebrows. I'm planning on doing my first makeup video soon! Any recommendations for hosting besides Youtube?

Feeling a Faux Fur Coat

A few weeks ago, I instantly fell in love with this faux fur coat in Forever 21's store window. I had to wait a while to nab it, but it was worth the wait.

This leather and fur in this outfit brought out my inner Carrie Bradshaw. Nothing makes me feel more like myself than leaving the house with a bit of what I like to call 'sex hair' (sorry, Mom!) and smokey eye makeup.
