Fashion Illustration

You're not an official fashion blogger until you've had your first fashion illustration. That cherry, my friends, has been popped.

Chad Edwards, an extremely talented artist, along with the fashionable Michelle Williamson, of Wasted Wardrobe, teamed up to create this piece.

Michelle styled the shoot, while Chad took photos and then created the piece with a good mix of imagination and skill.

I get to wear faux fur AND hang with a polar bear? I'm so there.

Thank you, Chad and Michelle!

Bleach White

When it's too hot for color, just keep it bleached.

Webcam Tomfoolery

Because I'm the kind of girl who curls her hair to go grocery shopping.

Summer Chic Inspiration

Now this is how to dress in the heat without sacrificing badass style. Granted, I would never survive in 80+ degree weather, but on the cooler days? Totally doable.

Jeffrey Campbell - The Ours Boot

You know that feeling you experience when you see something sorta strange, but edgy and interesting at the same time? That's how I felt about the Jeffrey Campbell 'The Ours Boot.'

It's two-toned with a geometric heel- a little odd, but it's that odd quality that generates a reaction from just about everyone. I bought them on a whim for a gazillion percent (okay, more like 80) off. They're crazy, but I still believe they're a little conservative? At least for me they are!

Pardon my overexposure. What? It was actually sunny in Wisconsin.

Each single piece I'm wearing was under $30 each. I'm starting to get the appeal of this whole bargain shopping phenomenon.

I Blame Coco

This month you can find me totally enamored with the face of I Blame Coco. Eliot Sumner (yeah, yeah, daughter of Sting) has got wicked style, an androgynous look (lord knows I'm a sucker for that) and some freakishly catchy music going on.

It's gritty pop that caters to any mood. Coco reminds me a lot of Alexa Chung. Both gals retain a sense of faith to their individual styles, and it's safe to say that both Alexa and Coco embrace a splash of haphazard fearlessness. Basically, I'm applauding anyone who dresses for themselves and makes appearing a tad scruffy a cool gal thing.

Plus, she scowls in most of her photos. You know, like me!

Stars and Stripes Shorts

Nothing like stars and stripes on my shorts to celebrate the fourth. Ah, don't think I missed that rhyme.

I snagged these amazing blue snakeskin boots at my favorite vintage store. They create that ever-so-satisfying click with every step I take. They're worthy of a stroll down the sidewalk.
